DIVISION GUIDELINES

All Teams in all Divisions must be an official Georgia High School dance team and Performing Arts Group.  All divisions are an official school dance organization that is recognized by their school, county and state as a representative of their High School.  All team members must be registered full time students within the High School they are competing with.

Categories of Dance Styles to include but not limited to:  Pom, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Theatrical, Hip Hop, High Kick, Tap, Props and Stands.

*GHSDC will provide a generic drum cadence for all auxiliary dance team stands performances.

TEAM PARTICIPATION

Solo Dancers in any given school may have more than one representative per school competing in the Soloist Division.

There are no limitations as to the amount of division a school competes in. Participants must be a dancer for that division full time during the academic school year.For example: If your team competes in Auxiliary Dance and Dance divisions, so long as the dancer(s) participates in both dance team full time at school during the academic school year then dancer(s) may compete in both divisions.

Male dancers are allowed in all dance divisions.
